DIY Service Project: Dinner Baskets

Create a dinner basket to supply a family in need with all the ingredients necessary to make a home-cooked meal.

Feeding America, a nationwide hunger-relief organization, found that 58 percent of food-insecure households participated in at least one of the major federal food assistance programs in the past couple of years. Families with food insecurity constantly struggle with health and hunger.

In the U.S., 40 million people struggle with hunger, but through this dinner basket volunteer project, you can supply all the ingredients needed to make a home-cooked meal, and show someone you care by gifting the dinner basket to a family in need.

Sign up to get started creating a dinner basket for a family or individual in need.  You will receive instructions for the project in an email and immediately available for download on the confirmation page.
