President's Volunteer Service Award
The President's Volunteer Service Award is a unique way to honor your organization's volunteers. The United Way of Greater St. Louis Volunteer Center is authorized by the Points of Light Foundation, the USA Freedom Corps, and the White House to provide Presidential recognition of volunteers who have logged a qualifying number of service hours. Along with the ultimate honor of presidential recognition, recipients will receive a personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion or coin and a congratulatory letter from the president of the United States. Metropolitan Volunteer Management Association
Metropolitan Volunteer Management Association (MVMA) is a professional association comprised of individuals who are employed in the field of volunteer management. The membership is diverse and rich in information regarding all aspects of volunteer program administration. MVMA meets each month to discuss topics pertinent to the field and to share experiences and expertise.
Chancellor's Certificate in Volunteer Management
The University of Missouri-St. Louis Nonprofit Management & Leadership program and MVMA have partnered to present the noncredit Chancellor's Certificate in Volunteer Management. Training offered as part of this certificate program will help to sharpen and develop the skills of anyone involved in the important task of volunteer management for a nonprofit organization. Classes are taught by experts and leaders in the field of volunteer management, and class topics are designed to help experienced professionals in the field of volunteer management to advance their understanding and enhance their professional capabilities.
