Catholic Urban Programs

Guided by the principles of Catholic social teaching, we advance human dignity, remediate the effects of poverty, and empower people to become self-sufficient through crisis intervention, housing security, and out-of-school time programs.

CUP serves people in need throughout the Diocese with a concentration on East St. Louis and surrounding communities. Our social service programs work in collaboration to help meet the needs of our community’s most vulnerable. Our goal is to rekindle hope in those we serve as we support their progress toward self-sufficiency. As we build relationships with our clients, we seek to personify the Corporal Works of Mercy while empowering them to advocate for themselves and their families.
