Arts & Learning Pack Assembly

Springboard to Learning is providing an opportunity for volunteer groups, comprised of 12 or less individuals, to assist in the assembly, packing and school distribution of Arts & Learning Packs, which are small kits of hand-on art activities for students to create at home without needing access to technology. This volunteer opportunity is available during business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Springboard welcomes donations toward its mission.

Arts & Learning Packs are distributed to under-resourced students and are intended to spark invention and innovation, increasing critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication skills. Each of the unique Packs include: activity materials, printed step-by-step instructions for completing the project without internet access, fine arts, and other academic applicable standards. Additional supports, if internet access is available, include online video links to artist-led virtual workshops.

Current Arts and Learning Packs consist of Three Little What-zits and the Big Bad Who-zit where students fracture a favorite fairy tale, create props, and perform their new story; Origami Finger Puppets where students use their imagination to create paper puppets and enchance literacy skill through pretend play and reative storytelling; Refrigerator Art Pack where students craft masterpieces of art for refrigerator display exploring patterns and perspectives using ruler and markers; Little Ducks, Little Frogs teaching counting to infants and toddlers; and The Health Plate, focused on sequencing and sorting for preschool aged children. Assembly takes place at the Springboard to Learning office or with special permission at agreed upon location.
