Great Rivers Greenway Event Help - Mary Meachum Celebration
Great Rivers Greenway needs volunteers to help with our annual Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing Celebration on Saturday, September 27th, 2025! Mary Meachum and her husband, Revered John Berry Meachum, were American abolitionists who dedicated their lives to educating and freeing enslaved people.
Volunteers are needed for a variety of different tasks, including setting up tables and chairs in the morning, welcoming attendees during the event, and more. You will be emailed a link to complete your registration and select your shift.
Shifts are 1.5 hours in length.
Please dress for the weather including closed toe shoes. Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen. We will provide water, snacks, and additional sunscreen.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 16+, Minimum Age:16+, Court Ordered Volunteer - Allowed
