Birthday Party Assistant at the Butterfly House
As a Birthday Party Assistant, you will be helping the Butterfly House education department create fun birthday party memories for our guests. We need volunteers to assist with birthday party setup and tear-down, as well as the following duties during the course of the party:
You will assist the education staff with
- handing out craft and Bingo supplies.
- passing out food and drinks.
- helping sort waste into compost, recycling, and trash.
- helping guests with activities.
- greeting birthday families and their guests
- encouraging children to participate
Volunteers will get training and support during the birthday party.
Requirements:
- Must be 14 years of age or older.
- Applicants under 18 must have their parent/legal guardian complete a Parent/Legal Guardian Consent Form in order to volunteer.
- Long periods of standing, bending, and able to lift 25 pounds.
Scheduling:
- Shifts will be Saturdays and Sundays.
- Morning and afternoon shifts of 9:30-11:30am, 11:30am-1:30pm, and 1:30-3:30pm.
