Keeping It Clean on The Hodiamont Tracks

On Saturday, April 20, 2024, volunteers will pick up litter along the Hodiamont Tracks from Newstead Avenue to Gwen B. Giles Park. The event will begin a 9:00 am and end at noon. We are looking for volunteers to work alongside residents and help pick up litter along the Hodiamont Tracks which has been approved to become a greenway. On that day, we will work approximately 2.5 miles from Newstead to Kingshighway. With more volunteers, we may extend to Gwen B.Giles Park. Volunteers will receive a tee shirt and supplies for the day. Refreshments will be available. Volunteers are to gather at Lane Tabernacle Christian Methodist Episcopal Church at 9:00 am, for block assignments and to pick up tools and supplies. Volunteers will be encouraged to rest and snack at the church.
