Birthday Buddies
Do you love to plan parties? Show Cornerstone children how special they are during their birthday month by creating a “Birthday in a Box” for a classroom celebration! The "Birthday in a Box" is a handmade party package created to serve up approximately 20 preschool-age children, made or paid for by the volunteer. It's up to the volunteer what they want to provide--the box might include printed off coloring sheets of a birthday cake, party hats from Dollar Tree, and cupcakes from Schnucks, for example. We'd like the "Birthday in a Box" program to repeat once a month, in order to celebrate all the children who have birthdays within the month.
This opportunity involves both virtual and in-person aspects. Volunteers will create their "Birthday in a Box" independently outside of the center, but they will be asked to drop it off at the center. Volunteers can work together on this project.
