Volunteer Project Manager Needed: Urban Garden Holiday Lights

Position: Volunteer Project Manager for the Urban Garden Holiday Lights

About the Project:

The Urban Garden Holiday Lights event aims to transform Pendleton Avenue from Delmar Blvd to MLK in the Vandeventer Neighborhood into a dazzling display of holiday cheer, running from November 2024 to January 2025. This initiative is designed to break down negative stereotypes and highlight the pride and beauty of our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of the Urban Garden Holiday Lights event.
  • Team Coordination: Organize and lead regular team meetings to keep everyone on track and motivated.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with volunteers, local businesses, and community partners to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and manage the budget, tracking expenses to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Logistical Oversight: Handle all logistical details, including the procurement and installation of lights and decorations.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with all stakeholders and team members.
  • Timeline Development: Create and implement a project timeline to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
