Client Choice Pantry Volunteer
Tabernacle Community Development Corporation will launch it's first Client Choice Pantry in January of 2024. We have decided to do away with the traditional box donations as research shows majority of the food goes to waste due to the participants diet or food interest.
As a Pantry Volunteer you will connect with participants by greeting them with a smile and checking them in per appointment time. Immediately afterwards you will assist the participant in navigating through the pantry and ensuring they select the appropriate quantity per food group as listed on display.
Our Client Choice Pantry operates every second and fourth Thursday from the hours of 10:00 am - 2:00pm.
We offer 3 different shifts available for you to volunteer; 10:00am - 12:00pm, 12:00pm - 2:00pm or 10:00am - 2:00pm.
We ask that our pantry volunteers arrive 15 minutes before the start of their elected shift. In addition, we have opportunities for one-time, long-term and corporate/groups to help as Pantry Volunteers.
*ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST COMPLETE A BRIEF ORIENTATION WHICH CAN BE CONDUCTED IN PERSON OR VIRTUALLY & DUE TO FAMILIES INCLUDING CHILDREN BEING PRESENT YOU MUST UNDERGO A BACKGROUND CHECK
