Social Media Assistant
We are looking for a creative, detailed individual with a talent for communicating information visually and a willingness to learn new tasks. This volunteer will have strong organizational skills and an ability to work well independently and with a team to drive social media efforts.
Some of the key responsibilities include:

Assists as the newsletter liaison with the writing and management of the newsletter

Creator and leader of monthly volunteer voice

Communicates with social media head, volunteer graphic designers, and marketing committee for programmatic marketing efforts

Updates marketing calendar with programming information for social media head as well as ensures that weekly client mailings are sent out in a timely manner with proper descriptions per event

Assists with simple graphic design creation and social media caption development

Assists in scheduling out content through Creator Studio

Facebook Event creation

Assists in LinkedIn Outreach to potential donors

Attends in-person programming to take pictures and videos for social media

Acquires testimonials from clients, volunteers, partners, and donors for marketing

Acquires and uploads testimonials, pictures, and videos to SharePoint from any Program Ambassadors

Engages in community outreach to further spread information about our organization and mission

Collaborates with partner organizations to share information regarding upcoming programming

Supports Fit and Food at tabling Events

Reaches out to local establishments to post physical advertisements

Updates client, volunteer, and partner mailing lists to inform key stakeholders of program happenings

Supports as a Program Ambassador when spots are not filled by the team and offers assistance with any urgent programmatic administrative needs
The Fit and Food Connection is a non-profit organization serving our neighbors in the St. Louis community. We provide wellness offerings to low-income families and empower our clients to get healthy through our free fitness and nutrition programs.
