Frog Festival at the Butterfly House
Event Description: For families with kids of all ages. Fabulous frogs fill the summer nights with song, and the Butterfly House is throwing a festival in their honor. Play games celebrating the amazing things frogs can do and learn how we can protect them around our neighborhoods.
Applicants under 18 must have their parent/legal guardian complete a Parent/Legal Guardian Consent Form in order to volunteer.
Volunteer shifts for the event will be from 7:00-9: 30 pm, and volunteers will assist with:

Covering the entrance and exit of the tropical butterfly conservatory

Help the Butterfly House be as green as possible by helping event attendees sort their snack leftovers between compost, recycling, and if needed, landfill as a Zero Waste Ambassador

Assist visitors with a frog-themed craft/activity

Welcome visitors at the admissions desk, checking in registered families, selling walk-up tickets, and highlighting the event's opportunities.

Help safely escort visitors on frog call walks.

Facepainters to paint children's faces with fun event-related imagery

One volunteer to wear the "Finn the Frog" (Missouri Botanical Garden Mascot) costume

Mascot volunteer should be between 5'7" or shorter and average build

One volunteer to help "escort" Finn (it's hard to see out of the costume
