STORIES OF THE PANDEMIC: A ST. LOUIS COVID-19 DIGITAL ARCHIVE
The Missouri Historical Society (MHS) is working to document how the St. Louis region is experiencing the historic COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. For now we’ll share these stories in a digital archive through social media and online. Down the road, we’ll consider some of this digital material for our permanent collections.
Sharing stories is a way we can begin to understand what is happening from an individual perspective. Please use the form to type a story or upload a photo or short video that illustrates how St. Louisans have responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. This could include a photo of a sign announcing a business closure, your experiences of working from home or not being allowed to work from home, ruminations on social distancing, stories of community engagement and resilience, experiences with the healthcare system, and any and all observations of how the St. Louis area has responded to the pandemic.
Whatever you choose to contribute, we hope you will join us in helping document this historic event in St. Louis. We also encourage you to think about holding on to videos, photographs, documents, or other objects related to the COVID-19 pandemic that you might wish to donate to MHS in the future.
