Help us close out 2023 with an impactful recruitment drive! Become a vital part of our growing board member community.

We're seeking Board Members from diverse ethnic groups, races, sexes, and backgrounds. Our aim is to cultivate a rich blend of perspectives that will lead us to better solutions and greater impact. We recognize the unique needs faced by female veterans, and we're inviting passionate individuals with a heart for service to join our cause.

Please note that our organization currently operates without funding for board member compensation, and we greatly appreciate the dedication of volunteers in helping us achieve our mission.

Our ideal Board Members are patient, experienced in board leadership, and equipped with the resources needed to hit the ground running. Our organization is situated in the thriving Vandeventer Neighborhood of St. Louis, an up-and-coming area with tremendous potential.

We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in the following areas:

                                                                  Chairperson/Chairman/Chairwoman: Leads and guides the board's strategic direction.

Vice Chair: Supports the chairperson and provides leadership when needed.

Nominating Committee Chair: Oversees the process of selecting new board members.

Community/Network Engagement Specialist: Connects the organization with the community and fosters relationships.

Executive Search Consultant: Assists in identifying and recruiting potential board members.

Corporate Relations Director: Manages partnerships and collaborations with businesses.

Legal Advisor: Offers legal guidance on governance and compliance matters.

Financial Expert/CFO: Ensures sound financial management and accountability.

Industry Expert: Provides industry-specific insights and knowledge.

Diversity and Inclusion Advocate: Promotes inclusivity and diverse perspectives.

Communication/PR Specialist: Handles external communication and public relations.

Nonprofit Specialist: Offers expertise in nonprofit management and operations.

Equity-Oriented and Community Embedded Programming: Designs inclusive programs aligned with community needs.

Relationship Building - within Low Food Access Neighborhoods: Establishes connections and partnerships in underserved areas.

Land Use and Revitalization: Focuses on land development and urban renewal.

Community Building - Urban Planning: Shapes urban spaces for community well-being.

Nutrition and Culinary Services: Develops programs to enhance nutritional support.

Human Resources - Uplifting Peoples resources: Supports staff and volunteer engagement.

Technology - Information Technology: Advises on tech solutions and data management.

Medical Counseling: Provides health and mental well-being expertise.

Social Work and Services: Addresses social needs and welfare programs.

Corporate Giving: Manages partnerships and donations from businesses.

Accounting/Finance: Ensures financial transparency and stability.

Higher Education: Offers insights from academic institutions.

Program Evaluation: Assesses program effectiveness and impact.

Entrepreneurship: Advises on innovation and strategic growth.

City Government: Connects with local authorities and policies.

Marketing and Communications: Shapes messaging and brand awareness.
