Cat Coordinator Position at Fairview Heights Petco Store
We are looking for an individual to act as our cat coordinator at the Petco in Fairview Heights, Illinois. The Petco Cat Coordinator is our liaison with the Petco staff, the Petco volunteers, and adopters, cat foster homes, as well as, the director of the rescue group. Below is a list of responsibilities from our current cat coordinator. We are a small, foster based rescue group that is completely volunteer driven. We are licensed by the state of Illinois and we are a non-profit organization. Responsibilities listed below can be "flexible" and even shared, given that we have people to share the work.
1) Recruits/schedules volunteers to come to our cat enclosure to clean, feed and play with the cats in our enclosure. (We have one person assigned to each day of the week.)
2) Review applications submitted to Petco for cats.
3) Coordinate adoptions.
4) Intake cats from individuals and animal control facilities. Schedule appointments for spay/neuter.
5) Coordinate with Petco staff for the care of cats.
6) Participate in designated adoption weekends.
