CLAIM Volunteers - St. Joseph, MO
InterServ and CLAIM, a program sponsored by the State of Missouri SHIP (State Health Insurance Program), is seeking new volunteers who want to help others in their community. Certified counselors help people understand their Medicare healthcare benefits and assist them on a one-on-one basis.
The ideal volunteer is dedicated, has problem-solving skills and computer skills including working on the internet. If you have available time, and you’re a good listener, enjoy working with people, especially older people, feel comfortable asking personal health questions and have any special skills, please consider volunteering for CLAIM.
Specific 3 day Medicare CLAIM training sessions are provided free of charge.
