Volunteer Description for ARTventure 2026
Event Date: Thursday, July 23, 2026
Sunnyhill Inc. is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help make ARTventure 2026: Reach for the Stars a memorable and inspiring experience. ARTventure 2026 is an exciting gallery walk and reception celebrating the incredible artistic talents of individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities. This year’s cosmic-themed event invites guests to explore imaginative works inspired by outer space, stars, galaxies, constellations, UFOs, and the limitless possibilities of creativity.
This inspiring event offers a unique opportunity for the community to engage with vibrant and meaningful artwork while supporting Sunnyhill’s mission of empowering individuals with developmental disabilities.
Below are the volunteer positions available:
1. Registration Volunteers (2 Needed)
Time: 3:45 PM – 6:45 PM
Responsibilities:

Greet and check in guests
-
Provide attendees with event information and materials
-
Ensure a smooth and efficient registration process
-
Help create a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees
2. Signup Overflow and Interactive Art Activity Volunteers (2 Needed)
Time: 4:15 PM – 6:15 PM
Location: Inside Foundry STL
Responsibilities:
-
Manage overflow signup for attendees
-
Assist guests with an interactive group art activity
-
Hand out water and provide general guest assistance
-
Encourage participation and engagement throughout the event
3. Step & Repeat and Artwear Voting Tickets Volunteer (1 Needed)
Time: 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Responsibilities:
-
Assist guests with photo opportunities at the themed step and repeat backdrop
-
Distribute and collect Artwear voting tickets
-
Help maintain organization and flow in the photo area
4. Donor Reception Volunteer (1 Needed)
Time: 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Responsibilities:
-
Welcome and assist donors and special guests at the reception area
-
Help maintain a positive guest experience
-
Make callouts and announcements as needed
-
Support event staff with donor hospitality
