Urgent Need: Severe Blood Shortage
Right now, eligible and healthy donors are strongly urged to make an appointment with the American Red Cross to provide lifesaving blood products to patients. As of June 15th, all donations will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies free of charge. Make an appointment to give blood here.

Meal-Delivery Drivers Needed

Urgent: Help needed immediately. Lincoln County has called and LCCOA is answering, but we need volunteers to serve as meal-delivery drivers. Meals can be delivered in your own vehicle or using an LCCOA vehicle. Volunteers are required to be 18+ with a driver's license & proof of insurance (to show you're a driver in good standing). An ideal candidate would be school bus drivers who are already familiar with Lincoln County and vetted. But any safe driver is needed & welcomed! We just ask that you do not come to the center without first calling to schedule a time, thank you.

Urgent Need for Blood Drive Donor Temperature Screeners

Did you know blood cannot be manufactured nor used from anyone else other than healthy human beings? Did you know the Red Cross supplies approximately 80% of the blood to the local St. Louis area hospitals? Help keep our front-line workers stay safe so the American Red Cross can continue to deliver vital services for those who depend on us each day. We need your help to ensure our blood drives are safe. It's a simple, potentially life-saving volunteer role. THE ROLE: Ensure each potential blood donor is greeted and thanked Take donor temperatures using a no-touch infrared thermometer Sanitize entry, registration and hospitality areas Gloves, sanitizer, sani-cloths, and masks available at all blood drives Free training provided Volunteers must be 18 years or older. COVID-19 Supplies Needed

During the COIVD-19 pandemic, children and families served by Unleashing Potential's Early Childhood Education, Afterschool and Summer Enrichment Programs (grades K-5) need: Personal Hygiene Items (i.e. hand sanitizer, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.) Cleaning supplies (Lysol wipes, paper towels, antibacterial soaps, and sprays) For the return to on-site services (suspended 3/20/2020), the agency will need the following for staff and children: Personal Protective Equipment/Supplies (i.e. touch-free thermometers, powder-free latex/vinyl gloves, disposable masks for youth and staff, hand sanitizer, etc.) Drop-Off Donations: You can drop off items at the Early Childhood Education Center at Caroline Mission (2828 Caroline Street, St. Louis, MO 63104). Thursdays from 10 am-2 pm NO contact drop off - Our staff will bring the products in from the concrete entry area near the main entrance. Simply ring the bell (with your elbow) to let those inside know you have dropped off. Please provide your name, address, phone number, and list of items if you would like an in-kind tax receipt.

Facility Entry Screener

Help keep the American Red Cross front-line workers and blood donors safe. In this role, you will be responsible for taking the temperature using a no-touch infrared thermometer of anyone entering the building. This building and everyone coming in is extremely important to our blood supply as we have an on-site blood donor site and a blood testing and processing facility. Location: American Red Cross 4050 Lindell Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63108 Shifts Available (2 people per shift): Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:45 am - 11:15 am 11:00 am - 3:30 pm 3:15 pm - 7:45 pm Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday 6:45 am - 12:15 pm 12:00 pm - 5:15 pm

Virtual Opportunity - Host a DIY Supply Drive

Host a DIY Supply Drive to support the youth at Covenant House Missouri! You can help raise awareness and vital supplies/ funds to help provide relief to young people overcoming homelessness. Use the power of social media and tap into your circle of friends - it's all about getting the word out! To host a DIY Supply Drive, check out the Covenant House MO In-Kind Donations site and Amazon Wish List for our latest supply needs. You can also host a themed supply drive to focus your efforts, like one of the following: Laundry Drive - baskets, detergent (pods or powder, not liquid as it gets used too fast), and dryer sheets Bedding/Bedroom Items - sheets, pillows, comforters, etc. Kitchen Items - pots/pans, dishes, silverware, and kitchen tools Shower Basket Drive – fill shower caddies with flip-flops (all sizes and genders), bath towels, loofahs, and razors Hygiene Items - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. (big demand, but we do get these in more regularly) Note: If you would like an acknowledgment letter for any in-kind donations, please reach out to the opportunity coordinator.

Be Vital to Life - Register Donors at MVRBC Donor Center in Crestwood, MO

Register Donors for Blood Donation at Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center in Crestwood, MO. Shifts are available Tuesday through Saturday. Times vary during donor hours. Volunteers should have great data entry skills, a love for working with the public, be outgoing, and have customer service experience. Masks are mandatory for volunteers, staff, and donors. Age: 20+ After completion of orientation, training will be held at the Crestwood donor center.

Helping Hand Me Downs enhances the quality of life for children and families in the St. Louis area by meeting their immediate needs, then connecting them with life-changing resources that foster independence. Currently, during the COVID-19 pandemic, our most critical needs are donations of cleaning supplies and diapers. St. Louis Arc Wish List for donations

The St. Louis Arc is dedicated to maintaining our commitment to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families during these challenging times. Our direct care work continues in all 32 residential homes, offering 24/7 support without interruption. We’re taking every precaution to ensure the health and safety of our residents and staff, but like many, need the community’s help to continue doing so. Many people have begun to reach out to ask how they can help support individuals at the Arc. If you are able to donate any amount of the below items, it would help immensely. Covid-19 Response: Ongoing Need for Gown and Mask Making

Emmaus has an ongoing need for Personal Protective Equipment, including masks and gowns. Our objective is to continue to provide our staff with the protection they need to do their jobs. We will replace items PPE currently provided to our employees begin to wear out, as is bound to happen in a 24/7 service. Emmaus is seeking masks and gowns from those who wish to contribute. Masks with ear loops are preferred. No filter required. We can accept any long sleeve or ¾ sleeve gown. If you sew or know a seamster, please reach out. You can now drop-off donated items directly to our offices in St. Charles, MO, or arrange a pick-up (if unable to leave home or far from offices). COVID-19 Update: Until further notice, we are deferring judgment for all volunteer needs and projects to our nonprofit, school and corporate partners. We’ve been in contact with all of them and will update our volunteer calendar, programs, and needs of our community as requested. We encourage you to contact the organization directly to confirm if a volunteer project is still happening or to let them know you will not be in attendance. And, we are asking any volunteers or volunteer family members that may have been exposed to COVID-19 or who are not feeling well to NOT volunteer with any organization for at least 14-days.
