United Way Project Leader
United Way connects employee groups from companies that participate in the United Way campaign to service opportunities across the region to meet many local community needs. It is a dynamic opportunity for volunteers to experience first-hand how United Way helps people live their best possible lives. We welcome energetic adult volunteers to join our project leadership team and help us to create a culture of service that is meaningful and fun for generations of volunteers.
As a project leader, your activities would include: greeting volunteers as they arrive to the project site, serving as a liaison with host agency staff and with the participants to ensure everyone is having an enjoyable time on project day, lending a helpful hand to assist volunteers with gathering supplies or materials on-site, making sure throughout the project that all volunteers have meaningful work and are satisfied with their assigned task, and personally thanking participants for their volunteer service to the community.
