Back to School
Each year LifeWise STL has our Back to School event where we give out backpacks filled with school supplies for each grade level and a new pair of shoes.
Due to COVID-19, families who register for the Back to School event will pick up their backpacks/shoes by curbside pickup. For this shift, 2 volunteers will be paired with 1 staff person, who will speak with LifeWise STL participants in their vehicles regarding picking up the school supplies/shoes for their families. The staff person will then provide the volunteers with the necessary information to retrieve the correct package of backpacks and shoes for the family from the LifeWise gym/parking lot and place into the car.
This opportunity will be fairly physical in nature, as it will include moving back and forth from the front of the building where cars are lined up to the gym/parking lot where families' packaged supplies are stored. It is likely that packages will be heavy. Additionally, while we are hopeful that the morning will be cooler, volunteers who select this position will be largely stationed outdoors. For this opportunity, we ask that volunteers be 16 years old or older.
