Mentor St. Louis: Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis
Mentor St. Louis (MSL), a school-based program, which empowers local elementary school students and Club members to succeed in school through structured, positive mentoring relationships with caring adult volunteers.
Every year, Mentors encourage youth in the first through sixth grade to develop a love of learning and ultimately reach their highest potential through literacy-based programming and supportive one-on-one and group mentoring. MSL’s program is unique because every mentoring session is thematically connected and thoughtfully linked to the mentee’s school work and the common core standards for their grade level. Volunteers recieve curriculum and training.
Time Commitment: One hour during the schoolday, two times per month during the 21-22 school year
Volunteers have the option of being in person at school sites or virtual
Application and Screening Process :
Online application & $15 application fee
Pass a criminal background check, fingerprint check and complete online abuse prevention training & organization orientation
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
