The St. Louis Arts Chamber of Commerce (Arts Chamber) is a nonprofit, membership-based collaborative of artists and patrons who are committed to establishing the greater St. Louis region as a premier arts destination. An advocate for all genres and mediums of the arts, the Arts Chamber aims to build a strong network of individuals and organizations with a shared interest in professional growth, artistic expression, programming to address cultural and societal issues, and advocacy for all arts and cultural education, engagement and empowerment. Role Description: 
 
The Arts Chamber’s Membership Coordinator will primarily focus on supporting our current members as well as developing the membership program and recruiting new members. The Coordinator will have the creative freedom to suggest additional member benefits, member opportunities, and member outreach to build the Arts Chamber’s programs as well as assist to unify the Arts and Creative Industry in the region. 
 
 
Responsibilities and Opportunities: 
 

  • Evaluate our current benefit program and recommend modifications and additions to appeal to the broad arts industry of the region

  • Identify key groups of artists and creatives to build membership

  • Create protocols to market our members, their classes, exhibits etc and update the website accordingly

  • Expand membership and benefits throughout the region

  • Complete a smooth transition back to the staff before leaving the project

  • Flexible hours and time commitment

 
Qualifications: 
 

  • Previous experience in building membership preferred but friendly and outgoing is a must

  • Access to internet and provide own computer 

  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the needs of the organization

  • Desire to connect with an engaged arts community 

  • Proficient with Google Docs & applications
