Volunteer in Hazelwood, MO Warehouse to Help with Disaster Relief
Do you have warehouse experience? Available to help at the Red Cross National Warehouse in Hazelwood, MO?
As the backbone of disaster response, the disaster warehouse plays a key role to ensure a large-scale disaster has the supplies needed to provide comfort, such as shelter, auxiliary and kitchen supplies, distribution of emergency supplies, and operations items. Additionally, this position helps to support the local disaster preparedness and biomedical areas of the American Red Cross.
Responsibilities may include:
Support National Warehouse Operations
Forklift Operations
Warehouse Inventory
Transportation Support
Load and Unload Trucks
Shipping/Receiving
Pick and Stage orders
Inspect, store, stack, inventory, and rack product
Track and Support Inventory Management System
Process Purchase Orders via different transportation methods
Qualifications:

Minimum 18 years of age, required

Valid Driver’s License, required
-
Able to lift 35 lbs. occasionally, required

Able to work on a concrete floor, stand, stoop as needed, required

Strong verbal communication skills, required
-
Willing to work with outside vendors, partners, and clients required

Reliable with attendance and commitment, required
-
Proficient with computers such as MS Office and Shipping software, preferred
-
Able to multi-task and work in emergency situations, preferred
-
Available for a 4-hour shift two times/month M-F during the hours 8 am – 4 pm
