Board member
Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House Inc. is a community center in East St. Louis, Illinois. Our agency provides programs and services to improve the quality of life for the children and families in our community. Neighborhood House provides early childhood services, meals for seniors, job recruitment and training, a food pantry, recreation and education for children and youth, case management, AmeriCorps and parent engagement.
At this time, Neighborhood House is actively recruiting community-minded people to serve on its Board of Directors. The Board meets at least six times per year. Meetings are held in the early evening and include a light meal. The Board is seeking members with experience in governance, fundraising, and marketing. Candidates must be able to attend meetings on a regular basis; must be able to work with a diverse group of people; be honest; be willing to explore new areas of development for the agency, and have a heart for community-based social services.
