Opportunity Details
Mentor at Jennings Junior High School
Volunteers,
We need you! Come out and empower 7th and 8th-grade students and facilitate a lesson with a classroom teacher on self-determination. Volunteer mentors will discuss how they remained determined while in school by avoiding distractions, stayed focused on their strengths, goals and how they remain determined in their careers or former careers. You will first be invited to a continental breakfast in the school's library to network with other professionals. You will then be escorted to a classroom of 22 students to facilitate the self-determination lesson. Students are eager to hear your story! It takes a village, therefore, come out and empower the next community of young talent to succeed.
