Food Pantry Volunteer
JFS’s Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry is the largest food pantry in the region. The pantry provides food and personal care items to over 6,000 children, adults, and seniors each month. Community members who visit the food pantry are often experiencing hardships in addition to hunger, including unemployment or underemployment, lack of access to health care, and housing insecurity. The pantry’s staff and volunteers connect visitors and their families to the services they need to thrive, whether through direct provision of food at the pantry or referrals to other JFS services.
Our volunteers fill a vital role at the pantry by stocking and sorting donated foods and packing grocery bags.
The Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry is located in Creve Coeur. Volunteer slots are available Monday-Friday between 9:00-12:00, 12:00 - 3:00 and 3:00-5:00.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
