St. Joe Volunteers: Help Greet and Assist Blood Donors
Community Blood Center (CBC) Ambassadors offer a welcoming smile and helpful assistance to the blood donors in the St. Joe area who help provide the critical blood that patients need in hospitals across the region.
Ambassadors greet donors at CBC mobile blood drives in the region or our blood center in St Joe, distribute snacks, provide friendly conversation, observe donors for negative reactions so staff can provide quick assistance, if needed, and thank them for their life-giving gift.
CBC volunteers must complete an application and participate in an interview, background check and orientation and be willing to commit to a minimum of 12 hours in the first 6 months of service.
NOTE: At this time, CBC does not provide court-appointed community service hours
