Become a Hospice Volunteer
Our Caris volunteers provide a wide range of benefits to patients and their families who are enrolled in hospice services. A volunteer role can mean providing emotional support to a family member who needs someone to listen or by helping honor the patient's three most important things. Examples of the Three Most Important Things that we honor can include anything from a favorite chocolate to hearing a favorite book read to them or a favorite piece of music played on a stereo or talking about a time in their lives that meant a lot to them. These are some ways our volunteers make a difference and provide compassionate care to our Caris patients.
During the times of COVID-19, our volunteers are more important than ever. We are asking for volunteers to donate their time writing and making cards to send to patients since they are unable to visit in person. If you are interested in this opportunity, please express interest to learn more.
