St. Vincent Greeenway Workday: Honeysuckle Removal
Join us for a series of volunteer workdays to remove invasive bush honeysuckle from the St. Vincent Greenway in St. Vincent County Park. We are working with St. Louis County Parks and the St. Louis Audubon Society to restore woodlands along the greenway that have been overgrown by honeysuckle and other invasive non-native plants. No experience is necessary- just the desire to improve and restore habitat along the greenway!
All tools and safety equipment will be provided. Please bring your own water bottle to cut down on project waste. It will be spring in St. Louis, so dress for the weather in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are also a must! Must be at least 13 with a parent/guardian.
We will notify you of event cancellation in case of inclement weather via email 24 hours prior to the event.
Volunteers will meet at the parking lot east of the water park in St. Vincent County Park.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 13+, Minimum Age:13+
