Opportunity Details

Swim with Youth with Disabilities

Volunteering for KEEN is fun and provides the opportunity for one-to-one work with some terrific kids and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities. KEEN Swim sessions are non-competitive and unstructured, allowing each participant to choose activities tailored to their individual needs and interests. Each volunteer is paired one-on-one with a swimmer and participate in a variety of swim activities, including diving for swim rings, playing with noodles, or hitting inflatable balls. As a volunteer, your job is to help your athlete take part in swim activities and to have a good time.

KEEN offers opportunities for occasional participation, regular involvement, or program leadership. You don't need any prior experience working with individuals who have disabilities - we'll train you on your first day of participation. You don't need to be a strong swimmer, either. Our swimmers will love you just as you are!
