Young Adult Services Open House Volunteers
Miriam Learning Center is starting a new academic, social, and emotional support program for high school and college age young adults. High school and college age volunteers are needed to be peers for students who will be attending Miriam's Young Adult Service program open house on November 13th from 5:00-7: 00 pm. Volunteers will participate in social, emotional and recreational programming (ping pong, foosball, video gaming, basketball, counseling groups, academic support groups, personal growth seminars, and manning a coffee bar) with program visitors, to ensure they feel welcome and supported. Volunteers need to feel comfortable interacting with peers of all abilities. Good communication skills and the willingness to have fun are necessary. All volunteers must go through an interview process and complete a background check. They must attend volunteer orientation on Monday, November 12th 5:00-6:00.
