Lewis and Clark Elementary School Mentoring Session 10/18/18
Come out and have breakfast with one student from a classroom and then be escorted to student's class to facilitate a lesson with the classroom teacher of 20 students. Volunteers will talk about their education, profession, and work with the teacher discussing the importance of persevering in school.
The lesson will focus on people in our community that persevered, thrived and were rewarded for excellence. During this time, volunteer mentors will discuss how they had to persevere to complete their education, resist obstacles, and discuss the importance of a strong work ethic.
This is a good lesson to start off the school year!
Another session(different lesson) is scheduled for Feb 14, 2019 from 8:00-9:30 am. not mandatory to come to both, but hope you can attend!!
