Do you love chickens? If so, we NEED you!
We place spent commercial egg-laying hens otherwise destined for slaughter in forever homes where they can live out their natural lives. Through promotion and outreach, we educate others about the therapeutic benefits that come with caring for chickens. Our ultimate goal is to be the change we wish to see in this world. Volunteer duties could include:

Farmer's markets and other events

Outreach/education

Transport (chickens and/or eggs)

Veterinary care

Supervise and care for quarantined hens

Clean-up and preparation for hens (before/after)

Building

Painting

Making PVC feeders and waterers

Setting-up PVC feeding and watering stations

Maintenance (electrical/HVAC)

Board membership

Legal assistance

Writing (grants/articles)

Financial record-keeping

Correspondence tasks

Phone calls

Fundraising/fundraiser planning

Pick-up donated items
