National Great Rivers Museum Volunteer
Each year millions of people travel to the Mississippi River to learn about its history and its impact on our nation. The National Great Rivers Museum at Melvin Price Locks and Dam is dedicated to telling the story of the Mississippi River, from its grand history and cultural significance to its ecological importance and role as a transportation corridor. Help further the mission of the National Great Rivers Museum by becoming a volunteer! A variety of opportunities are available. Some volunteers choose to work a set few hours every week, while others choose to assist with specific educational programs or events.
Volunteer Positions Can Include:

Staff reception desk and keep brochure racks stocked

Meet and greet visitors to the museum

Give tours of the Melvin Price Locks and Dam and other educational programs to the public

Gift shop sales and stocking

Answer questions about Melvin Price Locks and Dam
