Beyond Jobs Volunteers Needed!
Mentors support and encourage their student(s) by working one-on-one to provide them with personal support throughout the program. Resources for guiding mentor sessions will be provided. Commitment: 1 hour per week for 4-10 weeks. Times are flexible and can be decided between the volunteer and student.
(WO)MANHOOD TABLE LEADER
Table leaders work with a group of students through guided discussion questions about worldview, relationships, and character. Commitment: 6-one hour classes over 2 weeks. Classes are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 6-7 pm.
Career advocates work with a group of students in our Career Builders Class on work readiness activities. Class topics range from interviewing to conflict & communication. See the times above for the classroom topic schedule. Commitment: Your choice between 1-6 two-hour classes per session. Classes are held Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 am-12 pm and 6-8 pm.
Tutors provide one-on-one support to students who need extra help learning basic tech skills. Commitment: Your choice between 1-8 two-hour classes per session. Classes are held Wednesday and Friday at 1-3 pm and 3-5 pm.
Meals offer time for community-building. Volunteers may prepare 1 meal for 20-30 people in our (Wo)manhood class. Commitment: Prepare at least 1 meal. Meal drop-by should occur by 5:30 pm on the 1st Monday or 2nd Thursday of each month.
