Mission
Dutchtown South Community Corporation is advancing neighborhood vitality through community empowerment, housing stabilization, and real estate development.
Vision
DSCC has decided on a two-pronged “preferred future” that includes focus areas of Community Facilitation and Convening and Housing Stabilization and Development.
Ongoing Commitment
For the full length of my time serving as a DSCC Board Member, I will exercise the duties and responsibilities of this office with integrity and professionalism and pledge to the following commitments:
- I will follow the mission of DSCC and use my role to act for the good of the organization.
- I will represent the organization in a positive and supportive manner.
- I will serve as a spokesperson, promoting DSCC publicly and informing others about the organization’s mission and programs.
- I will work with and respect the opinions of my peers who serve on this board, and leave my personal prejudices out of all board discussions.
- I will avoid conflicts of interest between my position as a board member and my personal life. If a conflict does arise, I will declare that conflict and refrain from voting on applicable matters.
- I will support in a positive manner all actions taken by the board of directors even when I am in a minority on such actions.
- I will establish as a high priority my attendance at all of the meetings of the board and committees on which I serve and I understand that my attendance is required for at least 75% of all board and applicable committee meetings.
- I will participate in board development workshops, strategic planning and educational events, which will also enhance the organization and my skills and knowledge of the organization.
