"No One Dies Alone" Companions Make Last Moments, Good Moments!

Are you a warm, caring individual with a heart for people in their final stage of life? Volunteer with Bethesda Hospice Care as a "No One Dies Alone" (NODA) Companion, and help to make someone's last moments, good moments! As a NODA Companion, you'll gain the deep satisfaction of being a caring presence for patients who have reached the final hours of life. Here are some of the things you could do as a NODA Companion - read to patients, play music for them, hold their hand, pray with them, report any discomfort to nurses, and be a comforting presence.

NODA volunteers sit vigil during a 2 hour shift of their choosing, so this volunteer opportunity is a good fit for many schedules. Plus, we have several care facilities in the St. Louis metro area, so you can choose to visit patients at the facility which is most convenient for you. Average time commitment is 2 - 6 hours per month, mostly in the evening and overnight hours.

The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
