Caring Companions Make Last Days, Good Days!
Are you a warm, caring individual with a few hours a month to give? Volunteer with Bethesda Hospice Care, and help make someone's last days, good days! As a Bethesda Hospice Caring Companion, you'll gain the deep satisfaction of helping people in their final of stage of life to have the best quality of life possible, by providing companionship and a caring presence. Here are some of the things you could do as a Caring Companion - read to patients, listen to their life stories, play music for them, show them pictures, hold their hand, pray with them, share their concerns with nurses and staff, be a supportive presence, and more!
You'll be able to choose when you visit your patients and how many patients you would like to visit, so this volunteer opportunity is a good fit for almost any schedule. Plus, we have several care facilities in the St. Louis metro area, so you can choose to visit patients at the facility which is most convenient for you! Average time commitment is 2 - 4 hours per month, on a flexible schedule of your choosing.
