For colleges/universities–

Student United Way offers a unique opportunity for students on your campus to form connections to the community through the work of United Way and our member agencies. Student United Way is open to all university students in the bi-state, 16 county region covered by United Way of Greater St. Louis. Students come together as a regional group for meetings and to volunteer once per month, but chapter groups are also welcomed and encouraged to organize additional meetings and projects as a campus group.

As a member of Student United Way students on your campus will have the chance to:

  • Build relationships with United Way staff and member agencies

  • Gain first hand experience with organizing volunteer projects

  • Participate in a grant allocation process

  • Gain a greater understanding of the needs of the community

  • Grow leadership skills through multiple leadership opportunities available within the club

  • Make an impact in the community

Students complete projects and service learning initiatives in the areas of basic needs, health, education, and strong communities.
