Flood Relief Volunteers (West Alton, Missouri)
Volunteers are needed in West Alton, Missouri to assist in the river flood relief efforts. Volunteers should check-in at the Volunteer Reception Center to sign a volunteer waiver. Volunteers will then be divided into groups to assist with assigments and muckout. Muckout: Is the removal of mud, muck, silt, and other typically semi-solid material from a home as a result of water inundation.
Guidelines for volunteering:
Wear warm layers, closed toe shoes (rain boots), and rain gear
Bring gloves
Must be 16 years or older with parental consent
Volunteers will be outside the entire time.
